INJECTABLE treatments

At Gippsland skin clinic we use quality products from reputable brands that have been approved by the TGA. All injectable treatments are considered a medical procedure and strict safety, hygiene, pharmacology, privacy and legal standards are followed for all treatments. We are partnered with medical compliance company Fresh clinics.

Before having any injectables treatments all clients will require a consultation. During this time we perform an aesthetic assessment, discuss your needs and wants, take photos and complete documentation/consent forms. Our consultation time is also for calling a prescribing Doctor who will assess your information, provide a prescription and consent to your treatment plan. Please note that the Doctor prescription carries a cost of $25.00.

Bookings can be made for treatment in the following areas -

Anti-wrinkle injections - frown lines, forehead lines, crows feet (eye area), brow lift, masseters (jaw grinding).

Dermal filler - lips, cheeks.

Injectable treatments are not ideal for everyone. Please read the contraindications list before booking an appointment. This list is not exhaustive and you could still be declined for treatment depending on your medical history and conditions.

Anti-wrinkle injections help to relax muscles by injecting a measured dose of medication into the skin. This blocks the neurotransmission from the nerves to the muscle. The amount of medication used depends on the size of the muscles, the strength of the muscle and the area that is being treated.

Anti-wrinkle injections help to relax the muscles involved in the formation of dynamic wrinkles. Over time wrinkles soften and become less pronounced. Anti-wrinkle injections can be used for treating frown lines, forehead lines, crow's feet and lifting the brow. Results last 3 - 5 months.

Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to reduce the frequency and severity of teeth grinding, jaw clenching and tension headaches. Treating strong jaw muscles can also help to reshape the face making it appear thinner and rounded (as opposed to square). Results last 3 - 6 months.

Dermal filler is made with hyaluronic acid and when injected into the skin it creates a plumping action and increases hydration. The amount and type of dermal filler used will depend on which area is being treated, the amount of volume loss and the desired end effect.

Dermal filler is very hydrating so its perfect for those who suffer from dry lips and plumps out fine lines. Lip filler can last 6 - 12 months. The duration of filler depends on many factors including the individual’s skin type, skin condition, lifestyle, and age.

Cheek Filler

Dermal filler can replace precious volume lost from the cheek area. Injecting filler in this area can improve many aspects of the face and completes the overall refreshed look. Cheek filler can last 12 - 18 months. The duration of filler depends on many factors including the individual’s skin type, skin condition, lifestyle, and age – as well as the type and amount of product used.
